Nyamira county government recently disbursed a total of Sh126 million as bursary for the needy students in the area.
Disbursing the funds in a ceremony which was held at Nyamira Uhuru Gardens ground, area governor Amos Nyaribo said that the funds could benefit a total of 35,000 learners who are in different institutions within and outside the county.
Nyaribo said that funds are strictly for needy cases but expressed his disappointments that some rogue school heads were colluding with members of the bursary committee to give funds to children whose parents were financially stable.
