Nyamira candidate dies days to KCSE

A somber mood engulfed Kiabonyoru village in Nyamira county as a form four candidate was being laid to rest.

Timothy Nyachani Nyagwencha was preparing to sit for his KCSE examinations this year from Nyamira Boys High School but death snatched him.

“My son was determined to go to University but death has taken him away from us after a short illness,” narrated his mother.

During the burial ceremony, the Principal of Nyamira High School Mr. George Onkundi mourned the deceased as one of the bright candidates in his school.

“We know he was going to pass the examinations because he was always among the top ten performers in class,” he said.

A few students who accompanied the principal and his staff to the funeral termed their departed colleague as a person who was always responsible as he embraced team work aspiring for excellence in education.

They promised to post good results in the ongoing 2021 KCSE examinations as a sign of along lasting bonding relationship among themselves, their departed colleague, teachers and parents.

“We shall remain focused despite the fact that one of us has been separated from us,” remarked the Headboy.

Nyamira Boys’ School was among the top schools from Nyamira county during the 2019 KCSE National examinations.

Nyamira County Director of Education Mr. Boniface Ouko who was among the mourners revealed that he knew Timothy Nyachani as candidate number 144 in Nyamira Boys according to the records in his office.

Mr.Ouko praised the school for their good discipline and asked the candidate to embrace it as they continued with the examinations in spite of loosing their colleague.

He asked the candidates and their teachers to remain resilient.
