Nyambaria National School Chief Principal Charles Onyari has asked teachers and students to make tree planting a live-long practice in order to protect the environment which is the giver of life to human beings and other creatures.
Saying that trees are important for the purification of the air we breathe, provision of food, shelter for wild animals and birds, he asked teacher to be in the frontline towards the protection of the ecosystem for their learners to copy their examples.
The Principal was speaking to teachers, students and Nyambaria village residents, yesterday at the school during the review of this year’s world environment Day that was celebrated at different parts of the world.

“I ask you to make it a routine of planting and caring trees not only during public celebrations but also in time you feel that you need to plant a tree especially during the rainy season,” he said.
The Principal thanked Nanga Police Commander, Antony Wabwire and his security team for leading his teachers and students in planting more than 300 seedlings at the school during the World Environment Day last week.
He asked the environment club and the leadership of teachers of Agriculture, Biology and Geography to combine efforts and come up with a vibrant programme of planting trees and collection of garbage in the school and it’s surrounding for the purpose of conserving the environment.

Samson Aricha, a former student of the school said that he will talk to the alumni of the school to compare notes on the best way they could revive and strengthen the school’s Old Boys Association for both academic and sports development.
‘We intend to come here either as a group or individuals and see where we can chip in for the common development of the school’ said Aricha.
He asked students to remain disciplined and focused in their education in order to pass examinations and continue with their higher education successfully without embarrassing their parents and teachers.
