The parent of Deborah Nchagwa, a 17 year old learner at Moi Nyabohanse Girls’ School in Migori County who collapsed and lost her life under unclear circumstances has come out, pleading with the government to intervene and serve them justice over the death of his daughter.
According to the girl’s father Pastor Evans Mohere Kimeru, he received the news at half past 2 PM on the same day, that her daughter is ill and was at Migori County Referral Hospital.
However, being that he comes from far, it took him 2 hours to get to Migori at around 4 pm where he found her child’s dead body at the morgue.
“I was called that my daughter was sick and has been admitted at Migori hospital. However it took me two hours to get to Migori where contrary to the report I received of her sickness, she was already dead,” Narrated the father.

“When I get to Migori, I found my daughter in the mortuary and no one could explain to me how this came to be.” He said.
On what could have been the cause of the girl’s demise, her father outlined that her daughter was very much well when she left home and even the school confirmed to him that she was never sick.
What he was told on the fateful day was that her daughter collapsed and was taken to hospital in Migori, where she unfortunately succumbed.
He decried that the school management is yet to communicate to him despite the demise of her daughter, something that he say is unusual and leave him with many questions.
