No irregularities were registered during KPSEA, KCPE exams, Director says

There were no irregularities reported during the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) examinations in Lamu, Kwale and Kilifi counties, Lamu County Director of Education Mr. Joshua Kaaga has said.

Speaking to Education News from Lamu town recently, Kaaga said that all registered candidates sat for both examinations without any challenges.

However he revealed that a female candidate of Jipendeni Primary school gave birth and wrote her examination while in the Maternity Ward at Lamu County Hospital.

In Kwale the County Director of Education, Mr. Martin Cheruiyot also said that no cases of examination irregularities were reported except for a candidate who could not write following an undisclosed ailment.

In Kilifi, Malindi Sub County presented 18,299 candidates for both examinations which ran smoothly, according to the Sub County Director of Education, Mr. Josephat Ngumi.

At the same time, Mr. Ngumi reported that 4,622 candidates will sit for this years Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
