Tiaty West Sub County Commissioner Aron Omoset has ordered locals to cease traditional night dances immediately to pave way for Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) exams that start next week.
The administrator, who spoke at the sidelines of Mashujaa celebrations held at Michuki grounds in Chemolingot, Tiaty constituency, said the popular dances dubbed “Kwara Kwara” practiced overnight were overtaken by events citing need for the society to embrace education instead.

Omoset added that elaborate security measures had been put in place to ensure national examinations run smoothly and that each examination center will be manned by at least two officers.
“Security has been beefed up across Tiaty. We want our children to sit their exams in a conducive environment. We have enough officers and we are committed to ensure exams run without any distractions,” he said.
