NGO launches project to promote IT use in schools

A computer set up in a school. An NGO has initiated a Ksh40 million project in Trans Mara West to incorporate IT in primary and junior schools.

An international non-governmental organization (NGO) has initiated a project aimed at alleviating classroom overcrowding and incorporating information and communication technology into primary and junior schools in Trans Mara West.

Good People International, a North Korean NGO, is presently conducting a pilot phase in selected schools as part of a Ksh40 million project slated for completion in 2026.

During the recent agreement signing ceremony, Josiah Lang’at, the project coordinator for Good People International, outlined that the identified beneficiary schools are distributed across three Wards in the county.
