A notable leadership transition has taken place at Nambale Boys High School following the departure of Senior Principal Tom Mboya Amadi, who has officially handed over the mantle to Wycliffe Manoah.
Amadi has been redeployed to head Magunga High School in Kisumu County, in a move that marks a new chapter in his distinguished career in educational leadership.
Manoah joins Nambale Boys from Ramba Boys High School in Siaya County. His transfer comes in the wake of unrest at his former station, triggered by a tragic incident in which two students died after falling into a septic tank, an incident that sparked protests and heightened scrutiny of the institution’s administration.
During his tenure at Nambale, Amadi oversaw a period of unprecedented academic success.
In the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results, the school emerged as the only institution in Busia County to produce two candidates with a mean grade of A plain.
A respected mathematician, Amadi also led his candidates to secure 32 A plains in Mathematics, a testament to his instructional rigor and commitment to academic excellence.

“Senior Principal Tom Mboya Amadi, we declare you a winner in your life as a person, a servant of God, and above all, a professional teacher. You came and saved Nambale High School from decline. Your legacy in academics, infrastructure, and institutional integrity is undeniable,” he posed.
Prof. Bigambo also commended Amadi for standing firm against corruption and moral decay, noting that the Board and the ACK Church fraternity had stood by him in his fight for institutional integrity.
As Manoah assumes leadership at Nambale Boys, the school community is hopeful that the strong academic foundation laid by Amadi will be sustained and built upon under new stewardship.
