Catholic Diocese of Nakuru Bishop Rt. Rev. Cleophas Oseso has urged school going children to improve their morals and discipline to enable them to post excellent performance in national examinations.
Speaking at Christ the King Secondary school in the city during the Nakuru Catholic Diocese Education Day, the Bishop called on education stakeholders to ensure students have high standards of morality and discipline which is key for their academic success.
Rev. Oseso said that Western culture has disrupted African culture and created confusion among school going children with immoral behaviours which will completely destroy their integrity and future.
“This culture we call modern will destroy our children. The time has come to say no to lesbianism and gayism in school,” said the Clergy.
He urged Kenyans to oppose ideologies that go against Christian values and African values and morals.
The Bishop also took the opportunity to urge the Diocese secondary schools to post good KCSE results this year to enable them join higher institutions of learning and reclaim their past glory.
He urged school managements to take a lead in a strong campaign to produce sterling academic results.
Also in attendance were heads of institutions and Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) Vice Chancellor Prof. Stephen Mbugua among other guests.
