Nakuru High School to host capacity building seminar for senior school leaders

Nakuru High School will on Saturday, January 31, 2026, host a capacity building seminar for senior school administrators and subject heads.

According to the circular seen by Education News, the event will starti at 9:00 a.m. in the school’s multi-purpose hall, and it aims to strengthen leadership and academic management under the Competency-Based Education (CBE) framework.

The seminar will bring together Deputy Principals, Deans of Studies, Senior Masters/Mistresses, Career Masters, Heads of Subjects, and Heads of Departments from schools across Nakuru County.

Key topics include managing Grade 10 learners, completing the syllabus on time, effective revision strategies, engaging parents and students, and preparing for senior administrative roles such as Deputy Principal and Principal.

The event will be facilitated by the Nakuru County Director of Education, the Chief Principal of Nakuru High School John Kuyo, John Limo (Moi High School Kabarak), Isaac Biwott (Kapsabet Boys High School) and other CBE specialists.

A registration fee of Ksh 2,000 covers refreshments, lunch, stationery and certificates.

Interested participants are asked to confirm attendance by  January 30, 2026 via 0728 596 680 (Tomkim Baraza).

The event is officially recognized by the Teachers Service Commission and copies of the invitation have been shared with KESSHA and KUPPET, highlighting its importance in professional development for school leaders.
