Nairobi School set to host humanities contest on May 27

The Nairobi School Humanities Department will host the fourth National Contest themed ‘Improving Performance of Humanities Subjects in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education 2023’ on May 27, 2023.

In a memo dated May 5, 2023 signed by the Head of Humanities Department Mrs. Gitau there will be written tests for Form 3 and 4 in History and Government, Geography, CRE and IRE.

“The tests will be Hybrid of P1 and P2 based on Bloom’s Taxonomy. Each team will comprise of ten students per subject per form,” it read in part.

The participants have been asked to pay Ksh2,500 for administration and marking of the tests with schools encouraged to register as many teams as possible.

“Students are to carry packed lunch and required stationery. Geography students to carry the map of Kisumu East for map questions. Please refer to the attached page on the areas that will be tested,” it continued.

At the same time, participants have been requested to confirm their attendance through; Mrs Elizabeth Gitau (0720276707) Mrs Alycate Mutengi (0722889969) and Mrs Lina Kiget (0723241710).
