Margaret Chemuku Nakhumicha, a deputy principal at Parklands Nairobi, collapsed and died suddenly at her home, leaving colleagues, students, and family in shock.

According to a post by a local news platform, the celebrated educator passed away without showing any signs of illness, a turn of events that has left many struggling to come to terms with the loss.

The veteran teacher, renowned for her dedication and passion for education, had once attempted to break the Guinness World Record for the longest Mathematics teaching session.

The late Nakhumicha had recently enrolled her only daughter in university after the student excelled in her studies.

Her passing has triggered an outpouring of grief on social media, where friends and former students described her as a kind-hearted mentor whose laughter and encouragement touched many lives.

“How can life be so fragile and unpredictable? Your kindness and compassion were unmatched. Maggy, the laughter we always shared made life easier and enjoyable. Mwalimu, how do I mourn you?” wrote Namalwa Joselyne Chesoli.

“Death is so unpredictable. Someone can be full of health and just like that, heaven gains,” added Mykoh Bryant Wamae.

Funeral arrangements are underway, with friends and colleagues pledging support to the family as they come to terms with the loss.

Her death comes just days after another tragedy struck Nyamira County when Wesley Monda, a teacher, died in a road accident at Kemera while on his way to school for the opening of a new term.
