A retired high school principal has received a boost in his race for Navakholo Parliamentary seat in Kakamega County.

Stanley Waiswa has received the blessing to battle for the seat from the Muslim community at Kisembe Jamia Mosque recently.

Led by Navakholo Chair of the Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya [CIPK] Shiekh Isah Obwora and Hassan Wafula, the Muslim leaders called upon Navakholo voters to do away with political leadership of deceit and exclusion come August 9, this year.

They promised to rally all Muslims in the constituency behind Waiswa who according to them is capable of providing good leadership that will be felt and admired in all parts of the constituency.

“Mwalimu demonstrated his leadership when he was Kakamega County Secondary Schools Sports Chairperson and as Sivilie Secondary School Principal as well,” Hassan Wafula said.

He asked voters in the constituency to elect Waiswa so that they can have a leader who is responsive and approachable.

The incumbent of the seat is Chief Whip, Emmanuel Wangwe.
