Juja Member of Parliament, MP George Koimburi has urged youth to embrace technical and vocational training as an alternative pathway to employment and self-reliance.
Speaking on Saturday during the graduation ceremony of Heroes Institute in Juja, MP Koimburi said technical courses offer young people the opportunity to start their own businesses, therefore bridging the unemployment gap.

Koimburi further reiterated that the constituency will continue partnering with the institutions that equip learners with hands-on skills through the National Government constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF)
“Through the NG-CDF we are committed to supporting institutions that impart practical knowledge to our youth so that they can be job creators rather than job-seekers,” Koimburi said.
The call comes amid concerns that many university and college graduates remain jobless after pursuing courses that do not guarantee formal employment.
