Makueni Member of Parliament Susan Kiamba has said she is very committed to school projects and education.

“Education falls in my docket. We will ensure the projects under the MP are successful,” Kiamba said.

Kiamba was speaking at Wote during the Unoa comprehensive school bus fundraiser. She noted that it’s a project they are committed to adding Ksh 3 million from the CDF kitty on top of what was fundraised.

She noted that there are 95 primary schools in her constituency, and given that, she cannot give a single school all the money required to purchase a bus. Thus, she reminded schools that if they hit the target amount set, they should visit her office for topping up.

“You know my standards, at least achieve the set amount, and we will gladly top the remaining amount. We want the best for every school around,” Kiamba said.

Kiamba noted that Unoa Comprehensive, a school in Wote town, had many needy parents and pupils, thus promising to do everything possible to have the bus for the school and any other school with such plans.
