Kitutu Chache North Member of Parliament Japheth Nyakundi has lauded students in his constituency for their outstanding performance in the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations, attributing the success to consistent support from the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF), which kept students in class consistently to keep up with the syllabus coverage.
He said that through the support of the government, cooperation from teachers and descipline students, the Constituency was able to post the first ever KCSE examinations without grade Es for the last fifteen years.
The MP who spoke at his National Government Constituency( NG-CDF) office at Marani, said that in 2022, the constituency’s schools posted 286 Es as compared to none in 2026 and asked teachers and students to keep on improving gradually until they achieve their individual set targets.
“I don’t want to impose my own way of approaching issues in individual school as it may not be workable, but I urge you to set your own priorities, set on your internal schools’ policies geared towards doing well in our schools.”He said.
Nyakundi singled out schools such as Itibo Boys, Kenyoro, Tambachi, and Mototonto, which posted a mean score of 7.5 and above, praising them for bringing pride to the constituency and placing it on the national map of improved academic performance.

During the meeting, Nyakundi also distributed school uniforms and fees support to Grade 10 students, directing them to report to schools of their choice immediately. He emphasized that the presidential directive requiring all Grade 10 learners to enrol unconditionally must be taken seriously.
“This is an urgent matter that requires consolidated attention, which is why I am in the office even over the weekend,” he remarked.
Nyakundi assured parents that his office will continue providing uniforms to all Grade 10 students and encouraged them to visit the NG-CDF office to collect the items. He further appealed to headteachers, church leaders, chiefs, and Nyumba Kumi groups to mobilize learners from house to house, urging them not to lose hope since education remains the most effective tool for eradicating poverty.
