Up to 4,000 needy students in Kasarani Constituency have benefited from the Constituency Development Fund to the tune of Sh20 million.
Speaking during the issuance of the cheques to beneficiaries at New DCC grounds in Kasarani recently, area Member of Parliament Mercy Gakuya said the bursaries will ensure the students from humble family backgrounds get to access to education, without missing even a single lesson just like their counterparts from well off families.
She noted that the bursaries are only meant for students from poor family backgrounds and her administration will ensure that only needy students will benefit.
Among the students who benefitted from the kitty are secondary schools, tertiary and institutions of higher learning.
