Kikuyu Member of Parliament, (MP) Kimani Ichung’wah has announced the disbursement of bursary cheques to students enrolled in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, colleges, and universities.
Speaking during the event in Kikuyu Constituency, Kiambu County, Ichung’wah emphasized that education is not a privilege for the few, but a fundamental right for all Kenyan children, regardless of their background.
“Education is a right, not a privilege. To this end, we issued bursary cheques to students in TVETs, colleges, and universities because no student should miss school due to a lack of fees. Investing in our youth is investing in our future as skilled graduates build a stronger economy,” he emphasised

The bursary issuance aims to cushion needy students from financial hardship and reduce dropout rates in tertiary institutions.
Ichung’wah highlighted that access to quality and affordable education is key to national development and economic empowerment.
