Bomachoge Borabu MP Prof Zadoc Ogutu has asked parents from the area not to be divided along political lines but instead join hands to provide quality education.
Speaking at Bendera Primary School, he asked the residents to vote for him to continue with the education projects he had initiated.
Saying that politics and politicians come and go, the MP expressed his burning desire to see the young generation prosper through education.
“These young people here have minds that are not vessels to be filled with political rhetoric but fire to be kindled,” he said.
He told teachers to remain steadfast in their work, saying though their salaries were meagre, they must remain optimistic because God will bless them through their children who will be successful in life.
“It is rare to find a teacher’s children suffering because God blesses them,” he observed.
Ogutu said that during his five years in Parliament, he helped to construct more than 5 centres of academic e excellence in the Constituency through the prudent use of the NG-CDF money.
He pledged to sponsor 50 students from the Constituency each year to pursue University education if re-elected.
The MP will face off with Obadiah Barongo, Onderi Ontweka, Eng. Albert Nyaundi, James Omare, Duke Mainga and Dr. Philio Nyanumba.
