MP assures residents of transparency in bursary disbursement

By Gilbert Kobi

Kitutu Masaba residents have been assured that allocation of bursary funds will be transparent and unbiased to ensure only deserving cases are catered for.

Speaking after traversing all wards in the constituency, MP Clive Ombane Gisairo acknowledged the challenges that had been facing bursary committees before and noted that for a start, the application forms will be colour-coded according to the respective wards.

“We have made it easy to sort the applications using a different colour for every ward for easy identification,” he said.

According to him, distribution of bursary funds in the constituency was being regarded in negative light and he was ready to get rid of the tradition.

“Unlike before, my residents will benefit from the bursary funds without biases that have been experienced before,” Ombane noted.

The MP promised to work hand in hand with stakeholders to improve the standards of education in the area.

“We must come together and explore all avenues to make Kitutu Masaba an academic giant,” he said.
