The MP for Dagorretti North Simba Arati has asked the society to support the developments in the education sector.

Speaking at Keumbu Division during a prayer meeting, Arati said that the true religion is that which supported education development for its people.
After the church gathering, the legislator took a surprise visit to the home of a Maseno University student and presented him with a cheque of Sh100,000 towards the clearance of fees arrears.

Receiving the cheque on behalf of their son who was absent at the time, his father Mr. Charles Ogega said that the gesture was a ‘direct blessing sent from God direct to his home’.

Arati who was flanked by the former MP for Nyaribari Chache Constituency Dr. Robert Monda asked University students to shun drug abuse in order to be models to their young siblings who are in primary schools.

“University education should provide a clear demarcation of exemplary behavior between primary school kids and those in those in higher institutions,” he said.

The legislator who said he will vie the Kisii County gubernatorial seat asked the church to be the main tool of pacifying communities instead of classifying them along denominations.

While challenging them on a lighter moment; Arati thrilled his audience when he said that in heaven, there will be no office of registration of persons to issue National identification cards that bear the name of one’s clan.

He appealed to the elites in society to champion patriotism because education releases people from their social economic and political bondage.
