A divorcee woman, who has seven children, has complained that the three children who remained in the custody of her ex-husband have dropped out of school as their father has ignored taking care of their needs.
Grace Ombati said that her children Brenda Ombati, Ian Ombati and Brian Ombati who are in form three, form one and class eight respectively have not been going to school for two weeks now.
‘Brenda is a student at Rigoma Girls Secondary School, Ian studies at Keginga mixed secondary and Brian studies at Kisii primary school.’ She said.
Grace, who divorced her husband of 20 years in 2014, told journalists in Kisii town that the children were surviving by the grace of God because even getting food is a problem.
She now wants the children to be transferred to schools closer to her home so that she can be able to take care of their problems.
