More Directors moved in latest TSC changes

TSC

More Sub-County Directors (SCDs) have continued to be transferred to new stations by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) as part of its re-organisation to offer better services to teachers.

In the new changes, William Kipchomus who was earlier the Butere SCD and transferred to Teso North has now had his transfer to the new station withdrawn.

He has been re-routed to Molo Sub-County in Nakuru County. Education News has established that the position was vacant as there was no SCD serving in the area.

Also moved in the changes made by the TSC’s Director of Operations, Gabriel Mathenge is Dombi Shivachi who has been in charge of Borabu Sub-County in Nyamira County.

He will be reporting at Bumula in Bungoma. The Sub-County was also operating without a SCD. Shivachi will be replaced by Paul Bii from Kandara in Murang’a County.

Bii had recently been transferred to Naivasha in Nakuru County to replace Catherine Mathenge who was moved to Kitui West. But his appeal seems to have been considered hence his re-posting to Borabu.

James Simiyu Wanyela who was the SCD in charge of Sameta in Kisii County now moves to Lugari Sub-County in Kakamega County.

Education News could not quickly establish his exact destination at the time of going to press.

Also transferred is Nelson Ngare who relocates from Nyando to Marakwet West in Elgeyo Marakwet County.

He had earlier been moved to Bumula in Bungoma County but due to resistance from local leaders over his transfer to the area, the TSC seems to have bowed to pressure and took him to Marakwet.

Ngare will be replacing Everlyne Chemjor who has been transferred to Tongaren Sub-County in Bungoma County. Also affected in the changes is Kipserem Lagat who has been the Lari SCD in Kiambu County.

He now goes to report in Kuresoi North. This is also one station that did not have a SCD.

As reported earlier by Education News, Jane Muturi who was in charge of Kamukunji/Makadara in Nairobi County has gone to replace him in Lari.

Muturi’s duties, on the other hand have been taken over by Jackson Mutai who gets added responsibilities besides manning Kasarani which has been his station.
