Mombasa Woman Representative, Zamzam Mohamed has advised parents in Kakamega County to give their children’s education the first priority, saying that they should tighten their belts to make sure school fees are payed on time and students are settled in schools.
Speaking at her residence in Kakamega town during the New year’s celebrations, the legislature also warned parents against overspending on the festivities, and forgetting about payment of school fees and buying school materials.
“No student should be left behind on opening day, all students should attend classes.” Stated the Woman Rep, who further lauded parents for their strong commitment in taking care of children back at home during festive season
“I want to believe that you really gave them the right direction so that teachers don’t find hard time again to mould your children, you ensured they revised and maintained discipline.” Said the MP

She further urged Students to go back to school and focus in education since it’s the backbone of every development Countrywide
