Moi Kabartonjo embarks on becoming talent haven besides academic success

Moi Boys High School Kabartonjo Senior Principal, Mr. Samuel Akufa, has embarked on an enormous mission of nurturing budding talents in the institution.

Speaking on the sidelines of Tamasha event conducted annually at the school, the delighted school head noted that tapping of talents helps students to fully identify and exploit areas they are good at.

Mr. Akufa told Education News that despite Covid -19 pandemic that paralyzed learning in schools recently, majority of students lacked opportunity to showcase their talents.

He said that the school is wholly behind supporting the event to allow the students realize their future dreams in sports, songs, dances and plays among other disciplines as he boasted of students who have earned accolades for their active roles in co-curricular activities and academics.

‘‘Moi Boys High School Kabartonjo is set to be a talent pool and a benchmark for schools embracing our idea of supporting talent .We call on government to back the idea for it appeals on government plan of Competence Based Curriculum (CBC),’’ said the Senior Principal.

Mr. Akufa observed that the school has engaged on exchange programmes with Aiyebo Boys High School where students have earned experience and tremendous results in football, making a good rapport with the neighbor school.

He called on the students to harness opportunities available in various fields, especially music industry that is now a huge employer for youth who have ventured into it.

The soft-spoken school head extolled efforts made by able Board of Management (BOM), teaching fraternity and students to canvass agenda of making Moi Boys High School Kabartonjo a premier institution.

‘‘Moi Boys High School Kabartonjo is a center of excellence for it has been consistent in producing an upward trend in academics. We are engaging on education stakeholders in the region to have a cutting edge advantage over our rival schools as we forge our path for academic take off, ’’ Mr. Akufa told Education News.
