The Ministry of Education, (MoE) has officially announced that the results for the Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) 2025 will be released in early December, providing clarity and reassurance to candidates, parents, and teachers nationwide.
In an update delivered on November 17, 2025, Basic Education Principal Secretary Prof. Julius Bitok confirmed that the results will be made public on December 11, 2025.
PS Bitok noted that this year’s assessment process has progressed smoothly, and all marking and moderation procedures are now in their final stages.
He emphasized that the ministry is committed to maintaining transparency and ensuring accuracy in the release of the Grade 9 examination outcomes. The timely release, he said, will help streamline the transition of learners into senior school.
In addition to the results announcement, PS Bitok confirmed that the selection process for senior schools (Grade 10) will be completed before Christmas 2025.
This early completion is intended to give families enough time to prepare for the next stage of their children’s education.

The selection will align learners with senior schools based on their performance, interests, and available opportunities under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
The ministry also issued a clear reporting date for the beginning of the 2026 academic year. All students transitioning to Grade 10 are expected to report to their new senior schools on January 12, 2026.
According to PS Bitok, this reporting date will ensure that schools have sufficient time to prepare classrooms, organize teaching resources, and finalize staffing arrangements for the incoming cohort.
PS Bitok further reiterated the government’s continued commitment to strengthening the implementation of the CBC.
He highlighted ongoing efforts to expand senior school infrastructure, enhance teacher capacity, and support the development of pathways that cater to learners’ diverse talents and aspirations.
As the country awaits the release of the KJSEA 2025 results, the MoE encourages all stakeholders to rely solely on official communication channels.
The parents and learners are advised to remain patient as the ministry finalizes the last steps leading up to the December 11 announcement, marking an important milestone in the education journey of the 2025 Grade 9 class.
