Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) Council Chair,Dr. Pamela Sitienei, has unveiled a far-reaching talent development initiative that promises automatic job placements for the institution’s top-performing graduates in select technical and analytical fields.
Addressing thousands of graduands, parents and guests during MMUST’s 22nd Graduation Ceremony, Sitienei announced that any student attaining a GPA of 4.0 and above and ranking among the top ten in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or Business Analysis will be guaranteed employment in her multinational company.
“I want to make a firm commitment today: if you have achieved a GPA of 4.0 or above and rank among the top 10 graduands in these fields, you will have a place in my global company,” Dr.Sitienei said in her keynote address. “I will position you in Nigeria, Accra, Abuja, or Kenya because I am a Pan-African, dedicated to moving talent across these countries.”
Her statement drew applause from the audience, with many describing the pledge as a timely boost for young professionals entering an increasingly competitive job market. Sitienei noted that Africa risks losing its brightest minds to global markets if institutions and industry leaders fail to create meaningful opportunities within the continent.
