Mount Kenya University (MKU) Parklands Law Campus has acquired a new bus dedicated to facilitating students’ welfare initiatives such as academic field trips and extra-curricular activities.

The move comes as a response to the campus’s expanding student population which has been rising steadily over the past few years.

Notably, the bus will play a crucial role in facilitating student participation in prestigious events such as moot court competitions, where the campus has demonstrated remarkable success.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Associate Dean of Students Judy Ngayu commended the University administration for their foresight in prioritizing student welfare, emphasizing the transformative impact the bus would have on student life, allowing for greater access to academic resources and extracurricular opportunities.

The ceremony graced by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Deogratius Jaganyi was marked by an atmosphere of celebration and gratitude.

Mwinga Mwadziwe, Chair of the Mount Kenya University Students Council, echoed Ngayu’s sentiments expressing profound appreciation for the University’s responsiveness to students’ needs. He emphasized the significance of the campus’s long-awaited dream coming to fruition.

Also in attendance were Director Dr. Nelly Wamaitha, the Dean of the School of Law Dr. Wilfred Mutubwa and the Director of Nairobi Campus Dr. Charles Karuga.
