Mixed results as Kisumu Term Two Ball Games championships start at Maseno

Kisumu Day Secondary Schools celebrate scoring against Kasagam in the ongoing Kisumu County Term Two Ball Games at Maseno on June 13.

Kisumu Day Secondary School football team stamped the authority on Day One of Kisumu County Kenya Secondary School Sports Association (KSSSA) Term Two Ball Games championships which kicked off yesterday at Maseno School.

Kisumu Day beat Kasagam Secondary School 4-0 and Maseno School 3-0 as Maseno School has used the home advantage to beat Nyakoko Secondary School 1-0.

In another encounter, Kasagam beat Nyakoko 3 -0 while Nduru defeated Obambo 2-0. Agai won 1-0 against Katolo.

Kisumu Day players elated after scoring.

In the girls’ category, Nyakach Girls whooped Migingo Secondary School 6-0, Migingo Tieng’re beat Dr Aloo 2–0, Nyakach won 6-0 against Tieng’re as Dr Aloo fell 1-0 to Migingo.

Dago Kokore whon 2 – 0 against Kochogo as Kudho and Nyakoko battled for a barren draw.

Nyakach girls are favourites after destroying opponents with huge margins.

The ball games in boys’ category have been grouped in three pools with each team bringing the best of the best as they aspire to represent the county in the next level in sports.

Pool A has the very best teams in the county which includes Kisumu Day also dubbed as (Yudhee), the host, Maseno School, Kasagam Secondary, and Nyakoko High School.

Ndiru Secondary School, Obambo High School, and Kisumu Boys are in pool B as schools like Katolo Secondary School, Agai Secondary, and Lela Mixed High form the teams in pool C.
