Ministry upgrades 3 Molo schools to extra county level

Molo Sub County Director of Education (SCDE) Sylvester Musikoyo has said that the Ministry of Education has upgraded three secondary schools to extra-county status.

Musikoyo said that the schools; Michinda Boys High school, PCEA Kambala Girls and Elburgon Secondary school will now be able to admit the students countrywide.

He told the respective school heads to continue improving their discipline terming it is a key ingredient in students’ academic performance and character development.

“Discipline always rhymes with academic excellence of any school,” said Musikoyo.

The Director who was speaking in Molo town encouraged schools to have healthy academic competition to motivate teachers and students.

He also congratulated all schools in the sub-county which improved their mean score in the 2022 KCSE examinations.

Musikoyo lauded the area schools for improve the overall KCSE mean from 3.64 in 2020 to 4.16 in 2022 adding that the will continue advocating for improvement of education standards.
