By Florence Norah

Migori County Government launched sanitary pads distribution during International Menstrual Hygiene day that was celebrated at Kuja School for the Deaf.

Over 300 girls from both Kuja primary and secondary schools were amongst those who received sanitary pads donated by the county’s First Lady Helen Obado.

County Education Executive Samson Maginga said they will also sensitize the girls to prevent early pregnancies.

Kamagambo MCA Maende Ogweno said the County Assembly had come up with a Bill that if passed will make it mandatory for all girls in secondary schools to get sanitary towels sufficient to take them for the whole year.
