MCAs from Emmurua Dikkr, Narok County have decried the skewed disbursement of the county and NGCDF bursaries in the area.
Led by Samuel Towett of Ololmasani, they claimed the vetting was shrouded in darkness, with the deserving students being locked out.
Speaking in Emurrua Dikkr town, Towett questioned why the same bursary committee was being used for county and NGCDF committees.
“Bursary allocation has been marred by controversies. We have one committee for both county and constituency bursaries and this has seen deserving students being locked out,” he said.

He lamented that some projects in Kaptumbo and Kipsigowo areas have stalled despite being allocated KSh3.2 million and KSh6 million respectively.
“Many things are not going well here and our constituents have raised a lot of questions. Any MCA who raises questions is faced by threats and humiliation from the administration of the Emmurua Dikkr constituency,” added Towett.
Towett also blamed county administration for working with ward administrators while sidelining elected MCAs, a situation which has slowed down development in the area.
The MCAs now wants investigations launched into the disbursement, threatening to lead protests to show their dissatisfaction.
