A 43-year-old man was caught pants down defiling his elder daughter by area residents on Monday and was on the verge of being lynched before Police intervened and rescued him from their wrath.
Nyamari Omosa, who has allegedly been defiling his two daughters aged 20 and 14 years for a long time at their residence in Jogoo Estate, was arrested and taken to Kisii Police station where he was detained awaiting arraignment in court.
Kisii County Police Commander Amos Abasa confirmed the arrest.
“The elder daughter has confirmed that they have been suffering sexual abuse from their own father since 202O when their mother died,” he said.
The police boss thanked the community for rescuing the girls but warned them against taking the law into their hands.
“The girls have complained several times to us, the villagers, for a long time but we did not believe that a father could do such acts to his children,” said Shadrack Omwenga, a resident.
