Malindi sub-county in Kilifi County, has presented a total of 25,121 candidates for the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA), Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE), and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
Speaking to Education News, the recently appointed Director of Education for New Malindi sub-county Rashid Roba Adan shared these figures during an interview in his Malindi town office.
“Out of the 25,121 candidates, 12,690 took the KPSEA, 9,842 the KCPE, and 4,589 the KCSE,” he stated.
Adan emphasized the importance of diligent study, asserting that there are no shortcuts to success in the Developing World as hard work is the only path to success in examinations.
While encouraging the candidates, he also stressed the significance of maintaining high levels of discipline during the examination period.
Additionally, the Director issued a stern warning against any form of examination malpractice, highlighting that such actions could lead to the cancellation of results.
He reiterated that discipline remains the pivotal factor in achieving success in these crucial national examinations.
