Makueni Constituency Member of Parliament, (MP) Susan Kiamba has called upon leaders not to politicize education.
On that call she strongly said that there should be no monkey tricks especially on the ongoing and unending school capitation issue.
She noted that schools have gone without capitation for long and when the money is released, it is too small and not timely.
“We have a very big challenge with capitation in schools, there is no reason for any child to fail to get the allocated money,” the legislature said.

Kiamba added that it’s surprising to hear issues of Kenya Education Management Information System (KEMIS) and birth certificates making citizens wonder who prepares those birth certificates and generates the registration number.
“It’s the same government and they should solve every problem then sort out the learners,” Kiamba said.
Kiamba was speaking during the Makueni branch KNUT AGM held at ACK Wote township comprehensive school. She thanked teachers for their endless efforts in making sure they produce good results and all rounded learners.
“One thing I like about these teachers is that we have not had any major challenge. We sort everything amicably with the branch leaders,” Kiamba stated.
