Makueni Constituency Member of Parliament, Susan Kiamba has called upon the national government to rank capitation as the first priority in order to lessen school principals the stress of running their institutions.
“Failure to get capitation will stress the principals. Kindly make it the first priority in government funding since we are investing in our children and we want them to be useful people in future,” Kiamba said.
While speaking during education stakeholders’ forum in Wote while disbursing bursary to different beneficiaries the law maker added that a total of Ksh 73.7 million bursary will be issued to 18,000 students through NGCDF.
She added that the beneficiaries are drawn from secondary schools, tertiary institutions, university plus small other colleges to mainstream school dropouts or those who didn’t get a chance to continue studies after class eight. They should get some skills.

“I am happy that principals assured me that the books are among the best useful they have ever had in schools thus promising good performance.
