Makueni leaders applaud long serving education director on transfer

COUNTY EDUCATION DIRECTOR TRANSFER

It’s a norm for education stakeholders in Makueni to hold farewells for their outgoing bosses and colleagues.

Four months ago they held a farewell fete for the outgoing TSC director and now the education director James Gachugi who has been moved to Mombasa County.

Gachugi was one of the long serving education officers in the county who they said had a keen listening ear, treated his juniors with respect and very committed to his job.

They also received with pleasure the incoming director Charles Nyakundi saying he would be accorded all the respect and support he need in Makueni.

KESSHA chairman Julius Mutwii noted that Makueni leaders work as a team. He added that Gachugi is very humble, understanding and consults well with his juniors and seniors.

“We are happy that he is heading to our holiday destination so we will often visit him,” Mutwii said
