Education CS Prof George Magoha has cautioned head-teachers against readmitting students expelled for burning schools.
Magoha said students expelled because of arson will not be readmitted to any new schools.
The caution was made after several fire incidents destroyed buildings and school property in several parts of the country.
Speaking after inspecting St Joseph Nyabururu Primary School in Kisii County, he parents will shoulder damage costs in school burnt down by students.
He said children’s rights should not be used as an excuse to protect naughty children who cause damages and they should instead be apprehended to face charges in the Court.
The also assured Kenyans that examinations will go on as planned in affected schools despite the destruction.

The Kenya Certificate of Primary Examinations (KCPE)will start on 19th March and the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examinations (KCSE) will begin on 24th March.
Prof Magoha warned teachers against allowing students to bring sanitizers to school because it contains 70 percent alcohol content.
“The children might use them as weapon to burn schools and also use it as drug substance,”he said.
Prof Magoha said that ministry will work with the Director of Criminal Investigation to create a data base of school indiscipline cases.
“We are going to carry out blood test to the children so that we can know those who are using drug substances,” he said.
Prof Magoha asked asked parents to play critical role in instilling discipline in their children and leave such roles to the teachers.
He said those who make school girls pregnant will be arraigned in court to face the charges as the students are allowed to continue with the education.
The tradition of using Kangaroo courts to settle such issues has been been forgotten , it’s now time the perpetrators to face the law.
