Education Cabinet Secretary Professor George Magoha has directed school principals to ensure all students are admitted to Form One with or without school fees.
The CS reiterated that the government policy of 100 per cent transition from primary to secondary schools must be implemented fully and no student should be denied admission for lack of school fees.
Speaking at Machakos School, he said he was impressed by efforts of teachers in national schools to keep needy students and urged other schools to emulate them.
Teachers at the school voluntarily contribute Sh200 every month to needy students’ kitty. Last year, they raised Sh500,000.
