Magarini youth urged to pick over 2,000 uncollected IDs

Over 2,000 National Identity Cards belonging to the youth are lying uncollected in the Magarini Division Registration of Persons Office at Gongoni shopping Centre in Kilifi County.

Speaking to Education News at Gongoni shopping centre in Kilifi County recently, Magarini Division Registration of Persons Officer, Weru Mwakudza lamented that many youth in the area, students included, have deliberately refused to collect their IDS in his office for no apparent reason at all.

He further warned that people above 18 years found to be without IDs will be arrested and charged.

The Officer asked people who applied for the IDs to come forward and collect their documents from his office.

Mwakudza, however, urged village elders to help his office so that the youth can collect their documents which are now overdue.

He emphasized on the importance of the IDs and asked the youth to hasten their pace and collect the documents from his office.
