Magarini Sub-county Director of Education Ismail Mahmud has laud Mjanaheri Secondary School efforts for the launching of their strategic plan.
Speaking at Mjanaheri Secondary School, Mahmud highlighted that such plans are the result of collaborative efforts, often requiring significant community engagement, emphasizing that these initiatives ultimately aim to improve student outcomes and enhance overall school performance.
In line with the Ministry of Education’s regulations, Director Ismail stressed that a strategic plan is essential for driving positive change. He noted it fosters productive decision-making and empowers students to reach their full potential.
However, the path to implementing a strategic plan is not without its hurdles. Joseph Moroni, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Sub-county Director, pointed out that while a well-conceived plan generally leads to improved results, the planning process itself can be challenging. He cited common issues such as endless meetings, countless revisions of goals and tactics, and plans that are never fully realized.

Despite these challenges, a robust strategic plan is vital. It enables schools to adapt swiftly to changing circumstances, embrace innovative teaching and learning methods, and align resources effectively with strategic priorities.
This ensures the efficient and impactful use of available funds. Ultimately, a strong plan can lead to better academic performance, increased student engagement, and enhanced overall well-being. Engaging all stakeholders in the planning process further cultivates a sense of ownership and promotes cohesive teamwork.
Therefore, the Board Chairperson, Hannah Tsuma Kulola, urged parents, students, and staff to serve as positive examples, ensuring the smooth implementation of the strategic plan.
School Principal Juma Aura extended his gratitude to the school’s strategic committee, led by the Deputy Principal, and all who supported the development process. He underscored the profound importance of this plan for the school’s future trajectory.
