A-20-year- old man was found dead in a rented house in Katoloni area of Machakos County.
The area Assistant Chief Dominic Matheka confirmed the incident saying that the man was a student at Machakos University.
He noted that the incident was reported by a neighbour and police arrived to take away the body.
His cause of death is yet to be established.
“I received a call from a neighbour and rushed there and saw the house where the guy died, he is a
Student at Machakos University” said the chief.
“I took photos and called the OCS and the forensic team visited the scene and launched investigations into the matter,” he added.
He asked for landlords with students renting to be taking records of the tenants and particularly students to help in case of emergency.
“There is increased habitation of students in this area and it is important to have the details of the tenants like copies of their identification cards and emergency contacts that may help in case of an emergency,” he said.
