Police in Mwala sub-county, Machakos County have arrested a middle-aged man for allegedly defiling his 13-year-old Grade 6 step-daughter.
Sub-County Police Commander Nancy Jerobon confirmed the arrest of the man who committed the heinous act on Tuesday in Kathama village.
The man had fled and went into hiding after the incident only to be smoked out of his hideout today, September 22.
Muthwani Assistant Chief Fidelis Wambua told Education News that the girl was examined at the hospital and confirmed to have been defiled.
“I was notified that a man had defiled his daughter and he has been arrested. The girl was rushed to the hospital and the doctors confirmed that indeed she had been defiled,” she said.
The man is being detained at Mbiuni Police Station awaiting arraignment in Court.
