First year students at Maasai Mara University have been urged to prioritize their studies and work hard to achieve their goals.

Vice Chancellor (VC) Peninah Aloo Obudho made the remarks during the welcoming and orientation programme for the new students.

The VC urged them to be good managers of time as it will determine their level of competence at the end of their learning period.

She further advised them to join clubs and societies and to also be wise when choosing friends as risky sexual and social behaviour could lead to unpleasant consequences.
