Lugulu Boarding and Day Comprehensive School in Bungoma County on Friday held a thanksgiving ceremony to mark its outstanding performance in the Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA), after emerging as the top institution in the county.
The event brought together parents, teachers, learners and leaders, highlighting a significant milestone in the school’s academic journey and affirming its rising profile as a centre of excellence in basic education.
Addressing the gathering, the head of the institution, Ms Jane Ngichabe, attributed the stellar performance to collective effort and strong institutional support. She commended the teaching staff for their commitment to academic delivery, thanked parents for their cooperation, and praised the Board of Management for providing effective leadership and a conducive learning environment.
“The results we are celebrating today are a product of teamwork, discipline and consistency. Our learners remained focused, our teachers went the extra mile, and our parents stood with the school throughout the process,” Ngichabe said.
She noted that the school had prioritised early syllabus coverage, continuous assessment and learner mentorship, strategies she said would be strengthened to sustain and improve future performance.
The ceremony was attended by Bungoma County Senator and Senate Majority Whip, Hon. David Wakoli, who congratulated the school for setting a high academic standard in the county.
