Lugari Member of Parliament, MP Nabii Nabwera has revealed plans to establish an Integrated Special Need School in Muturu in Kakamega County.
Speaking at Matumbwani Friends Church (Quakers), where he led a Harambee aimed at raising funds for the purchase of church musical instruments, the legislature alluded that he has talked to friends and education stakeholders and agreed to put up a special school to serve the locals.
“we are coming to build an integrated Special Needs School for Ksh 70 million, and the school will go up to grade 12, and it will be integrated, whether dumb, blind, lame and all, we are going to do a wonderful work,” Nabwera said.

The MP further urged parents not to shy away from educating children with special needs, adding that they are abled differently and their impact are much needed in the society.
“You parents hiding children with special needs at home, it is not right and God has a reason why He gave you that kid,” he said
