Longhorn Publishers and Snapplify have partnered to enhance education across Africa.

Longhorn, a publishing firm and Snapplify, a tech company that specializes in enabling digital learning, are intending to produce top quality books that will be available to schools and students across the continent.

Longhorn Chief Digital Officer Penina Kimani said that the publishing firm has invested heavily in its digital department to develop engaging, interactive and educational content.

“Snapplify’s technology allows for offline usage. It supports interactive content. It works across all types of devices, even older models. It comes with academic and accessibility features like in-app notes and highlights, and text-to-speech functionality. This robust, fit-for-purpose technology, combined with Snapplify’s wide pan-African footprint, means they are perfectly positioned to take our digital content to market,” noted Kimani.

Snappify’s Regional Manager for East Africa David Ayieko said that the partnership between the two African powerhouses will have a huge impact on student engagement and learning.

“We are incredibly proud to partner with Longhorn. The company has made huge strides to develop an expansive list of educational materials that not only meet the curriculum requirements for specific regions, but also includes interactive content. The value that this will bring to Snapplify schools and the impact it will have on student engagement and learning will be huge,” said Ayieko.

Established in 2012, Snapplify has created impact in Africa by distributing digital educational content hence achieving impressive traction across the continent.

It has expanded into 35+ territories, with offices in South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Europe, the UK and the US.
