“The Board of Directors of Longhorn Publishers PLC announces that Mr. Maxwell Wahome will be stepping down as Chief Executive Officer, with his last day of service being 30th September 2025,” the notice read in part.

The board thanked Wahome for his service.
“Wahome departs with the Board’s deep appreciation for his dedicated service and best wishes for continued success in his future endeavours,” the statement added.

Wahome exits with more than 15 years of leadership experience across East and Southern Africa, having worked in publishing, education, energy, mining, manufacturing, and financial services.

Before joining Longhorn, he served as a Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Kenya and South Africa.
