The country is doing well in the learning process despite challenges posed by Covid-19 pandemic that caused disruption in learning worldwide, schools closing for almost one and half years in Kenya.
Mr. Dismas Ogot, a senior official at the Ministry of Education (MoE) said this while speaking at the 6th graduation ceremony in Rongo University, assuring the management of public learning institutions that the government will continue offering grants for development and ensure provision of required facilities in all public institutions
Even as the Ministry of Education rescheduled its education calendar, the official who was sent to represent the Education Principal Secretary at the ceremony assured that learning institutions are coping and learners across the nation will attract global recognition on the job market.
He said the ministry is committed to ensure quality learning process in all parts of the nation and called upon stakeholders to co-operate and implement policies required to stem existing challenges.
Mr. Ogot pleaded with stakeholders to support the management to cope with the globally advancing technology required to improve learning for Kenya not to lag behind on education matters.
He hailed the management of various higher learning institutions for adopting virtual graduation as health protocol demands to contain spread of the dreaded virus.
The ministry official also praised Rongo University vice chancellor Professor Samuel Gudu for being steady-fast to ensure learning process went on not interrupted.
He said the institution has managed to produce brilliant and energetic learners who will soon be absorbed in various fields of their academic achievements and experiences to give Kenya global recognition in international forums.
