Lamu KCSE candidate stabbed after confrontation with mate

A form four student at Faza Secondary School in Lamu County passed on after being stabbed during a fight with a form three student on Monday.

According to reports, the student was rushed to Faza Level 4 Hospital in critical condition but was pronounced dead on arrival.

As per the preliminary investigations, the suspect is said to have stabbed his mate before setting off from the institution after an argument during break time.

“It started as a usual confrontation, but the argument escalated and the form three student lost his temper and stabbed the form four student, injuring him badly,” one of witnesses said.

Area village elder Abud Mohamed has urged the police to hasten investigations regarding the incident and arrest the suspect who still at large.

“We are urging the police and local authorities to ensure that the suspect is arrested and justice is served to the family of the victim,” Mohamed said.
